The title of tonight’s abstract expressionist illustration is “My Only Choice Is To Continue”.
This year leading uo to my birthday and immediately after I have been faced with both physical and mental challenges. I have been reassessing my purpose in life. Over the past ten years I have been spreading myself tin in all the different fronts of my life. My recent trials have had me look with scrutiny at my life and how I manage it and what I devote my energy to. I do not sleep enough, overtrain, eat a rigid diet, work too many hours, and to be honest sacrificing my higher self and the focus that should be to creating my art. Don’t get me wrong I draw everyday but through my analysis of my life I realize that my art has been a system of purging more than creation. I like to treat my birthday as my personal New Year’s Day and this year I am being shown that I need to make changes in my life. What that means I have yet to define but I do know that I don’t want to waste my energy and soul on things that are slowly killing me. To be honest those soul sucking things are starting to kill me faster…
