The Turmoil Keeps Me Away

The title of today’s abstract illustration is “The Mind Slowly Kills The Spirit”.

I realize that the very things that inspire me to create illustrations are also the things that keep me away. I allow my problems to gestate in my brain until they become a murky brine that inhibits my ability and impetus to go to the table and draw. I fool myself into believing the the many problems that sit upstairs in my grey matter will purge themselves out onto paper. The truth is that the sheer amount of things that are living up there right now have become a tremendous block from doing anything but dwelling on them. Well today I am pushing through…. Today anyway.
