What Is This All For?

The title of tonight’s abstract expressionist illustration is “More Than Just A Pen”.

I think the hardest part about our new technological reality is if we want to be known or seen we must show or art and ourselves. There are times where all I want to do is draw and create insulated in my own world with all the windows covered and the doors locked. That being said there is another part of me that wants to share my art and my struggles. I do it because for me it is cathartic and I do it so I can share with other people what it is like to live inside of this head and using the pens to share my emotions. I have been creating illustrations everyday but I have been posting a little less so that I have had a chance to level off. I realize a lot of people don’t understand what my abstract illustrations represent but for me they a are physical embodiment of my emotions and feelings at the time they are created. For me my pen is “More Than Just A Pen” it is a tool that is the conduit between my thoughts and emotions and the paper they are illustrated on.
