Some Days Try To Get You

The title of today’s abstract illustration is “Staying Steady Through The Cloud Of Shrapnel”.

So I say this with having no comparison point but what I have seen on tv or the movies . Today felt like I was on the battlefield like in the movie “Dunkirk” with a barrage of shrapnel hitting me in the face. Now take away the shrapnel and insert raindrops for shrapnel and my day for war. I have been inundated with angry tenants who seem to be surprised that a 125 year old mill leaks. For those who are not familiar with my world I am a professional illustrator who happens to be a martial artist and part owner of a mill filled with artists. So in true Bill Muzzy fashion I have been trudging up the mountain like the climbers in Akira Kurosawa’s “Dreams”. I have solved or duct taped everyone’s problems so I can finally create my abstract illustration. One thing my training in martial arts have given me is to consistently complete each goal I set out to do even when I am exhausted. My titles seem to express the core of my mood at the time and like the illustrations they create themselves.
