When It’s Heavy It Is Better To Let It Fill The Paper

We all have had those weeks where it seems like one strange problem leads to the next. My days are very long and it feels like I have lived three days in my one hyper speed tragedy to tragedy day. When I finally get a chance to take pen to paper my mind needs to throttle back and just purge the craziness into my art. This week was a mega week filled with problems ranging from a broken razor to an impending building wide fire inspection. Thanksgiving is looming just ahead and I am doing my best to stay the course. It seems that with all that my mind decided to relive every awkward and awful situation throughout my life. As I was drawing I decided to remember through it all I am truly blessed to have my talent and the opportunity to create everyday. That is the amazing take away lesson “I get to be the artist I want to be”. And you know in thinking about it now I am truly thankful for that. So I guess this is my early Thanksgiving.
