What Makes Us Who We Are

The title of tonight’s abstract expressionist illustration is “It Lives Deep Inside”.

It’s interesting when you realize no one understands who you are. Oh sure people have their daily interactions with you but they have no idea what is brewing inside. Your mouth says words and phrases that appease the interactions with coworkers and friends but only a few know who you are. Or do they? How can they know who you are when it is so deep inside you that even you don’t know who you are. For me it exits my body through my hand and onto paper. A living breathing organ cut out from deep inside me. The inner turmoil or happiness manifests itself as an object on the page.
